This website was created by the museum confederation L’Internationale and its partners on the project Our Many Europes for informational and educational purposes.

Our Many Europes is a programme produced by the European museum confederation L’Internationale, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. The members of L’Internationale confederation (M HKA Antwerp, Belgium; Moderna galerija (MG+MSUM), Ljubljana, Slovenia; Van Abbemuseum, Netherlands; MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Spain; Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie, Warsaw, Poland; SALT, Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey; and Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain) have developed the Our Many Europes project together with partners National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Dublin and HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg. The collaboration between the members of L’Internationale and its partners on the project forms the consortium of Our Many Europes.

Museo Reina Sofía, the coordinator of the project, acts as the representative of the consortium. L’Internationale Online can be used free of charge provided such use is personal and non-commercial. Accessing and using the content on this website is solely and exclusively the responsibility of the user. To use the website the user acknowledges and accepts the following terms and conditions:

The consortium Our Many Europes, represented by Museo Reina Sofía, sets the legal framework for this document governed by the legislation of Spain. All disputes that may arise in relation to its interpretation, application and compliance will be settled in the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid, with both parties expressly waiving any other jurisdiction to which they may be entitled.

Data Processing Aims

Your data will be processed for the following purposes:

− To manage L’Internationale Online services and activities

− To send out information on L’Internationale Online and the project Our Many Europes

− To establish profiles that improve on the quality of this website service.

Personal data will be processed for the aforementioned purposes only and shall be kept until an interested party requests the withdrawal of their information. Under such circumstances the information will only be retained for the purpose of formulating, exercising or defending complaints, or, if applicable, for imperative legal reasons. Under no circumstances will the information be processed in a way that is incompatible with the above stated aims.


Validation

The consortium Our Many Europes, represented by Museo Reina Sofía, aims to promote knowledge and give public access to contemporary art in its different forms, encouraging the dissemination and communication of texts and artworks. Below are the legal grounds for this personal data processing:

− GDPR: 6.1.a) The data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific reasons

− GDPR: 6.1.b) Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract

− GDPR: 6.1.e) Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authorities vested in the controller.

In all notifications, L’Internationale Online offers you the chance to cancel the corresponding service and withdraw your personal data.

Your data must be processed in order to benefit from the following services and activities offered by the L’Internationale Online. These include:

− Subscribing to L’Internationale Online newsletters.


Recipients and International Transfers

Data will not be disclosed to third parties, except under legally established circumstances. Data will only be handled by third parties in charge of processing data in order to maintain and ensure the proper operation of L’Internationale Online activities and services. The legitimacy of data processed by these companies is related to the execution of the commissioned contract entered into with the Museo Reina Sofía, acting as representative of the consortium Our Many Europes, in accordance with Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation in Spain.


Rights of the Interested Parties

The personal data provided by the interested party must be correct and accurate. The interested party must provide notification of any change or modification to the said data. Any loss or damage to the consortium of Our Many Europes, represented by Museo Reina Sofía, by third parties through incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information will be the sole responsibility of the interested party.

You can exercise the following rights at all times in accordance with those stipulated in the GDPR:

− The right to request access to your personal data and all information related to the data processed

− The right to request the rectification of your personal data

− The right to request the withdrawal of your personal data

− The right to request restrictions to the processing of your data

− The right to oppose the processing of your personal data

− The right to transfer your personal data

− The right to withdraw consent, at all times, without any effect on the legality of data processing based on the consent given prior to the withdrawal request.

With regard to any of the circumstances mentioned above, Museo Reina Sofía will access the data at the owner’s request and will only retain data for the purpose of formulating, exercising or defending complaints, or, if applicable, for imperative legal reasons.
